Who We Are

The Arc Community Center operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Volunteers may teach crafts, elementary music, math, reading, and drama to members of the center, interact with them socially and recreationally or accompany them on day trips in the community. Volunteer hours would be a minimum two-hour block of time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Only students who have been Washington residents for the last three years are eligible due to background check time restrictions. (The W.A.T.C.H. background check takes only about a day for those who have lived in Washington for the last three years. Call 509-328-6326 and ask for Bryan Holloway to request a background check.) Up to four students may be accommodated at the Community Center at various times at the discretion of the Community Center Director. Please contact Christina Brelia @ 509-496-8671 or at
