Catholic Charities: Food For All

Who We Are

From our project Food For All Farm, we provide fresh produce to St. Margaret's Shelter, Catholic Charities housing units, and various meal sites in the community. We support Spokane area farmers markets by serving as an anchor produce vendor and providing support and administering programs to maximize the accessibility of farmers markets for food insecure households. Working with St. Margaret's residents and senior housing sites we provide nutrition education including a community kitchen.

We welcome help from volunteers in a variety of ways. You may help us onsite at the farn and greenhouse from March - October. During November - May, we need help from volunteers in the Community Kitchen at low-income housing sites where volunteers help prepare healthy meals for at risk individuals.

*We do accomodate service learning students but we require them to serve 20 hours with us at least. When applying as a volunteer with us, we request that applicants submit either a photo-copy of their drivers license and their social security number in order for us to conduct a proper background check. Applicants must fill out a volunteer registration form prior to volunteering with us. The registration form can be found at the following link: https://www.catholiccharitiesspokane.org/general-volunteer-packet.

What We Do

Catholic Charities Spokane is a network of agencies, institutions, parishes, and individuals, united in Gospel spirit, who are servants to the poor, supporters for families and aides to parishes and communities in meeting the social service needs of people in eastern Washington. Food for All addresses food security in Spokane in a variety of ways.
