Department of Social and Human Services

Students may support DSHS across a number of program areas. A long term commitment is required and such a placement is best suited for students in Practica courses. Age requirements and background checks will apply. Students should also expect to apply for a position by submitting a resume and undergoing an interview before being accepted in a placement.

As one department, with one vision, one mission and one core set of values, we are able to provide services from multiple programs to meet the multiple needs of the majority of clients. We recognize ours is a shared responsibility with dedicated family members, foster parents, community groups, religious organizations, private providers and other government agencies.
