Who We Are

MISSION: Working with our community to ensure Spokane County is addressing preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery for major emergencies and disasters.

VISION: Spokane County Emergency Management (SCEM) is the coordinating agency during major emergencies and disasters for the whole community. This includes synchronizing communication flow between federal, state and local governments, including local agencies and the community of Spokane County. In addition, SCEM helps facilitate preparedness, response and recovery efforts, and provides public education on a variety of emergency related topics.

What We Do

*Coordinate community partners to share resources and support each other during major emergencies and disasters

*Strategize how to keep the whole community resilient in the face of an emergency or disaster

*Facilitate effective decision-making

*Provide 24/7 duty officer response and subject matter expertise in the areas of preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery, including: --Planning --Training --Exercise
