Description

Spokane Edible Tree Project will be participating in the Spokane Gives Week by bringing together our fabulous volunteers, friends, and leaders to scour the neighborhoods getting the word out, mapping trees and planting Ponderosa Pines along the new North/South corridor by the Parksmith Interchange with the WSDOT, Department of Natural Resources, Spokane Ponderosa and Boy Scouts of America.

During our neighborhood canvassing, we will be spreading the word to community members about SETP, and actively working to identify edible trees in the area to add them to the map so we can come back and harvest the produce!

Wear a RED shirt to identify as one of our group!

Schedule:

10:00am - Meet at 3116 E Graves Rd., Mead, WA - Here we will host an SETP-wide team meeting to discuss details of the day, hand out packets, and assign Neighborhood Canvassing groups.

10:30am - 11:30am - Plant trees, network, have fun! There will be media there, so try to snag a spot on TV representing SETP!

11:30am - 12:30pm - Lunch break with your Neighborhood Canvassing groups.

12:30pm - 2:30pm - Canvass trees with your small groups in designated neighborhoods

3:00pm - 4:00pm - Meet at 2009 W Pacific Ave (Brownes Addition) for refreshments and a group debrief of the day!
