Van Driver
Duties
- Drive Family Promise’s 15 passenger van to transport families in Bridges program to and from Family Promise Day Center at 904 E Hartson Ave Spokane WA 99202
- Commitment is once a week (or more) for 3 month period: take a morning (6:15 am- 8:00 am) and/or evening (5:00 pm – 7:00 pm) shift approx. 2hrs
- Consider signing up for back up shifts for emergency coverage.
- Work closely with Lead Driver to coordinate schedule and logistics and be willing to contact driver teammates to find coverage for shifts you will miss
- If your schedule allows be willing to be “on call” or trade shifts with other driver teammates if they need coverage
Excellent Drivers
- Have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Are willing to undergo a background check and attend training.
- Are comfortable driving a 15-passenger van and have a clean driving record.
- Are punctual, because families are depending on them.
- Are good communicators: check their email and phones for weekly updates or questions from teammates and communicate in advance for when they’re unable to make it to their shift.
- Enjoy talking to families and providing a listening ear.
- Have a servant’s heart that chooses to support our families.
- Embody Family Promise’s 5 core values to be non-judgmental, respectfully-compassionate, present, competent, and empowering.
