The Crisis Shelter for Women and Children exists to provide a safe, healthy, short-term refuge for women and children in crisis. The Shelter strives to keep as many women and children off the streets as possible and admits guests until it reaches full capacity. A playground for younger children was created adjacent to the facility, providing a safe, clean play area for the children at the Shelter and in the surrounding neighborhood.
JOB TITLE: Maintenance Assistant
- Assist the full-time maintenance staff in the continuous “up-keep” of our facility. Reports directly to the Maintenance supervisor, conducting (could include working alongside residents or just with staff):
- General grounds keeping such as mowing, trimming, gardening, etc.
- Electrical Work, Floor Care, Large in-house projects.
- If you are handy and have some spare time to help keep our beautiful home cared for this is for you!
Location and parking. We are located at 1515 E. Illinois in Spokane. Off-street parking is available across the street to west of the main entrance doors. On arrival, please enter through the door NOT labeled "Guest Check in."
