Volunteer: Hospital Classroom Tutors

The role of the hospital classroom tutor is to interact meaningfully with a pediatric patient around their studies from their home school.  We hope we can engage kids in academic work for one hour per day, and then encourage them to stay out of their hospital rooms for an additional hour of fun STEM activities.  We have Ozobots, Cubelets, Snap Circuits, Little Bits, and a 3-D Printer!  Our goal is to help kids feel meaningfully connected to school activities, even while in the hospital.

Tutors would need to apply with the Sacred Heart Volunteer Services department to get on-boarded and scheduled:  https://washington.providence.org/locations-directory/s/sacred-heart-medical-center/donate-and-volunteer/volunteer-services
