Union Gospel Mission Women's Recovery Program at Anna Ogden Hall, introduces women and children to the love of Christ in a secure environment that promotes dignity and God-centered personal growth. Established in 1971, this warm, welcoming, home-like shelter provides a long-term (18mos-2yrs) Christ-centered recovery program for 40 women and their children, offering counseling, Bible studies, life-skill classes, parenting classes and support, and an education / vocational component so that women may become God-dependant, contributing members of our community. 

JOB TITLE: Meal Server

Mealtimes are Breakfast Mon-Fri 6:15-8:00am, Lunch every day 11:15am-1:00pm, Dinner every day 4:15-6:00pm Cleaning: Good at cleaning/organizing and would be interested in coming for a block of time 1-2 times a month. Two people that wanted to do it together would work best. Flexible with times for this shift, and once trained would be open to coming on a weekend. Monday-Friday 9:00am-1:00pm, but could make evenings work on Mon-Thurs Meal Assistance: Work alongside the ladies to cook and serve the meal. Able work in an industrial kitchen and serve up to 40 residents and staff.

JOB TITLE: Evening or Weekend Resident Assistant

Work alongside the RA staff member as an integral part of the team as they manage the flow of the house. Build personal and meaningful relationships in the house with Women and Children by bringing games/activities for the residents to do. Also assist the RA in their duties such as conflict resolution and shift reports. Very exciting and meaningful role in the house. The ideal person would be outgoing and okay with downtime in the role.

Mon-Fri 4-8pm or 4-10pm, Saturdays and Sundays during the day

JOB TITLE: Childcare Assistant

Assist UGM Staff member with Early Childhood development

In the Children’s Program we read books, play games, draw and do other fun activities. We use Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) techniques for children who have suffered from Trauma. Must understand that traumatized children NEED structure. Reports directly to the Children Program Coordinator. Assist Staff members in Childcare for children 0-5 years while mother is in Recovery Classes. In the Summer looking for volunteers to support school aged kids in fun summer activities.
