Women & Children's Free Restaurant & Community Kitchen serves women and children who need food assistance and community support. Since 1988, we have provided healthy chef-made meals, fresh groceries, and shelf-stable products to women, seniors, teens, and children.

Please consider joining our team as a kitchen assistant, dishwasher, or meal packager. There are no specific skills needed, and you will receive excellent training as you work alongside our kitchen professionals. A Washington State Food Worker card is required.

Become a member of our food inventory team! Along with other volunteers, you will help stock, organize, bag and box perishable and pantry foods. This position requires no special skill and you will receive training. Standing, stooping, reaching, and lifting needed. Please reach out to learn more about this position and current openings.

We ask for your commitment of twenty hours or more. Self scheduling options are available once approved. A Washington State Food Worker Card is required for most jobs. Delivery receiving positions are available on Monday and Tuesday mornings, from 9:00-12:30 PM, Mondays from 1:30-4:30 PM, some Wednesdays from 2:00-4:00 PM, and some Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00-3:00 PM.

Are you a "people person" who loves being outdoors? We’re looking for friendly faces to help the incredible women we serve navigate our brand-new food locker system. As a Locker Porter, you aren’t just handing out bags—you’re delivering fresh groceries and gourmet, chef-prepared dinners with a side of dignity and a smile. Our new 16-unit locker system is the first of its kind in Spokane, and we are assembling a team of Locker Porters to cover (3) 3-hour shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (8:30-11:30 AM, 11:30 AM-2:30 PM, 2:30-5:30 PM).
