Who We Are

We are the Andrew Rypien School Program, located at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital.

What We Do

Our goal is to keep hospitalized and chronically ill or injured children meaningfully connected to school.  Some kids miss a good year or more of school for cancer treatment, or other long treatment courses for various illnesses.  Through our classroom volunteer program, we're tutoring kids and keeping them positive about school when they need it the most.  Elementary students are served Monday-Friday from 10am-12pm.  Middle and High School Students are served from 1-3pm.  If you've got an interest in keeping a child current on their studies when they can't be at school, and having a lot of fun while doing it, this would be a great fit for you!
