What We Do
At the Wildlife Center, we are committed to our mission of fostering community-based educational programs that offer diverse and enriching opportunities for volunteers and higher education students. In addition, we provide safe and permanent homes for exotic animals and wildlife in need, and raise awareness for our cause. Our team takes great pride in our work, and we strive to expand our reach and inspire others to get involved. By providing educational opportunities for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, we hope to instill a deep appreciation for wildlife and conservation efforts. Our efforts also enable us to continue providing lifelong care and support for the animals in our care, while promoting our mission to a wider audience. Looking for volunteers for our grades K-7th summer day camps. Goals of 2024 Summer Camps Increase exploration and connection to Cat Tales, the animals, learn zoo terms, gain exposure and appreciation of animal behavior and adaptation, and engage with how zookeepers and scientists study - through observation, questions, records, communication, and care of animals Increase public’s awareness of Cat Tales and our mission towards animals Build education programs and expanded STEAM learning Provide spaces for community involvement Provide children with exploration of personal identities with animals, nature, conservation, and STEAM
