Morningside Club

Volunteers from Whitworth make a huge difference to our program and help us to keep a low-ratio of volunteers to students. Your supportive ear and gentle help with homework can help to foster a love of learning for a child who might not have anyone to help at home after school. It is easy to give your time, since we are within walking distance of campus. It's not all work. We have recreation in our gym, as well as many games and activities. Volunteers must be available Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:00. We run on the Mead School District calendar.

Morningside is an after school program that supports students from Evergtreen Elementary, a Title I school. The program offers mentoring and tutoring to help K-6th graders. Morningside is an after school program to nurture kids from the surrounding neighborhood. Children from Evergreen Elementary meet at St. Luke on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 pm. It is a place where they can come and receive help with homework, have a nutritious snack and enjoy active play.
