What We Do
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County is part of a nationwide affiliation of local, autonomous organizations that work to help young people of all backgrounds develop the qualities they need to become responsible citizens and leaders. The Clubs are facility-based, employ over twenty paid professional staff members and are supplemented by part-time volunteers. We offer daily access to a broad range of programs in five Core Program Areas: Education and Career Development, Character and Leadership Development. Health and Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. Today, nearly 3,700 girls and boys are taking advantage of the programs, activities and services provided by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County. They benefit from trained, caring, professional staff and volunteers who help them take control of their lives, envision productive futures and achieve their goals. Now, more than ever, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County fills a crucial need for today's youth, providing the hope and opportunity kids need to succeed. The Northtown Club is located at 544 E. Providence Ave. just three blocks west of Longfellow Elementary School. The Northtown Club serves school age youth between 6 and 18 years of age for the low cost of only $10 a year (afterschool).? Best of all, the Club offers a FREE meal every day to members! Scholarships may be available for those needing assistance.
