Who We Are
We are delighted to have volunteers when we need help for certain projects, such as building or mending fences, hauling hay, or other necessary jobs. If you would like us to know when we have a project, please contact us to let us know you are interested. We also enjoy having regular volunteers to support us with daily operations in sup[port of the animals.
What We Do
River's Wish Animal Sanctuary is located on 65 acres in Spokane County and is dedicated to helping animals in need. River's Wish offers sanctuary to rabbits, dogs, cats, goats, horses, donkeys, pigs, chickens, turkeys and more. Since 1995, River's Wish has fostered and placed hundreds of dogs, cats and rabbits. The sanctuary also expanded to help goats, horses and other animals in need. In 2004, River's Wish incorporated as a non-profit animal sanctuary. The sanctuary sponsors a humane education program, Compassion for Animals that allows people to meet animals first hand and put a story, personality and face behind the abstract notion of their species.
