City Gate

We would love for volunteers to help us serve an evening meal as an individual or a group, which could involve working in the kitchen, serving food to clients, welcoming and seating people, or checking bags. We also need help to sort clothes for the clothing bank, to serve coffee and welcome people during the day, or to work in the kitchen, which requires a food handler?s permit. Individuals and groups can also support us with cleaning the building or serving holiday meals. Any special skills like providing a manicure, playing some music or sharing a favorite game would be welcome. The only requirements are filling out our application and passing a background check. The City Gate is a church devoted to the work of restoring the lost and broken lives of people living on the streets in the inner city of Spokane. We provide basic needs to the poor through meals, a food bank, clothing bank, counseling services, transitional housing, and church services.
