Who We Are

We are students following in our founders' (Chris Koch ('94) and Chris Murphy's ('94)) footsteps to love and minister to Spokane beyond the Whitworth campus.

What We Do

Every Saturday at noon En Christo meets in the middle of the dining hall (Sodexo) to put together sack lunches. The lunches are taken to Park Tower, a low-income subsidized apartment building in downtown Spokane. Students divide up into teams to knock on doors and offer residents a free lunch. After we spend time with residents, we walk the streets of downtown Spokane to pass out lunches to those experiencing homelessness.

Although our club commits much of our time (and budget) to putting together the lunches, our ministry is more than just feeding people. We use the lunches as a way to get our foot in the door so that we can build relationships with people that are often overlooked, and be salt and light in their lives.
