Global Neighborhood

Hundreds of refugees arrive in Spokane every year. Upon arriving in our city, refugees typically receive 90 days of support and care from local resettlement agencies. After this, support ends. Global Neighborhood has sought out ways to listen and respond to the former refugee communities of Spokane. One of the largest needs of the refugee community is employment. Because of the challenge refugees face in finding work, Global Neighborhood decided to start its own business to employ and provide job training to former refugees. Global Neighborhood's business, Global Neighborhood Thrift, gives paychecks and training to former refugees who are coming to our city.

Global Neighborhood is a 501c3 community benefit organization that offers pathways to employment for our neighbors who came as refugees.
