The Martin Luther King Jr. Family Outreach Center is a non-profit, community-based social service center located in East Central Spokane, one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in Spokane County.
Students will provide classroom assistance for preschool and school-age children in one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in Spokane. Hours in the education center are available from 8:00am - 6:00pm weekdays, and include early childhood education and afterschool programs. We love volunteers for our annual summer Read-a-thon. Practicum placements are available in our Family Services Department working in support of case managers. Background clearance forms are required, which require one to two weeks to process. The volunteer orientation will take approximately 1 - 2 hours.
