Come share your story and pathway to college with high school students at On Track Academy! We are bringing a small group of Whitworth students hold a Roundtable Discussion on November 23, 1-2pm. This event aims to provide students with a space to imagine and consider what the path to college could look like for them. It will be in a casual setting - small groups of Whitworth students making conversations with On Track students.
On Track Academy focuses on teaching students applicable skills that prepare them for life after they graduate, whether that looks like attending college, technical school, or joining the military. On Track provides students and families with additional intervention and resources for students to complete their education at their own pace.
We are looking for a range of experiences before/during college, including but not limited to:
- Traditional path (4 years of high school then undergraduate education)
- Gap year(s) after high school before coming to college
- Military service before/during college
- Technical school before/during college
- First generation college students
Things students may be interested in:
- Your path to college - How/why did you decide to go to college? How/why did you decide on Whitworth? How/why did you decide to study what you are studying? How are you able to connect the things you are passionate about to your education/extracurriculars?
- Questions about college life - What is it like being in college? What do you do with your free time?
- General questions about applications and/or paying for college
