We are looking for Whitworth students to come volunteer with us to help paint the main floor of one of Family Promise's houses on Saturday, April 6th! Supplies and transportation will be provided. Sign up by hitting the "respond" button and agree to the waiver! More details will be provided to you through email.
Family Promise is an organization working to connect homeless families with support networks and re-enforcing skills to maintain housing. They aim to prevent families from becoming homeless, providing for families who are experiencing homelessness, and preparing them for life beyond homelessness. Family Promise offers emergency housing, stabilization programs, and other resources.
Schedule
- 9:30am Meet at Whitworth and depart in a van together
- 10am-12:30pm Family Promise - staff will show us around and tell us about the work they do, then we will be painting
- 12:30-1:30pm Lunch provided
- 2pm Arrival back at Whitworth
Please wear close toed shoes and clothing you're willing to dirty!
