The new North YMCA-YWCA is a state-of-the-art 52,000 sq. ft. facility on 16 treed acres. The facility offers an Aquatic Center, Teen and Fitness Centers, Gymnasium, Outdoor Recreation space, and community gathering areas. The North Y is located at the intersection of Nevada Street and Hwy 2.
Students can be involved with events such as April Healthy Kids Day (big all day events for the community to enjoy and participate in) or the Spring Kids Triathalon. There are also opportunities to help with cleaning exercise equipment in the fitness area, or working in the Teen Center: Students can also assist with: Friday Film club (weekly: 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm); Above the Influence Teen Night (Every Friday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm); Music Jam times in the Teen Center; seasonal events.
